Súgán Weaving & Stool Assembly Workshop by Grant Taylor
August 7-10, 2000
Learn to assemble your own stool, using mortise and tenon techniques, and to weave the seat in the Connemara style. Súgán (pronounced sue-gone) means straw rope in Irish Gaelic. Súgán is the indigenous form of seat material for Ireland. At the end of the course you will leave with a stool and sugan woven seat for it.

The 67th Annual Craftsmen's Fair of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen

Grant will have a dining table and a porch swing in the Living with Crafts exhibit. This distinctive sales exhibit features hand-crafted furniture, architectural elements, and decorative accessories showcased in home and office vignettes.
With over 100 booths, demonstrations, Living with Crafts and Craftwear exhibits, workshops, and entertainment, the Craftsmen Fair is fun, annual event for the whole family. New Hampshire Highlands Games

Grant will have a booth in the Octagon (just past the ski lifts) and will be demonstrating súgán weaving and Celtic knotwork wood carving.
